I'd be intrigued as to how that goes down in the US because I think I'm right in thinking that the concept of highlights is not that common on US TV - you'd either see the whole match, live or on a delay, or just brief clips on the news, as opposed to a ten- or fifteen-minute edit.

There is NBC's pre-Sunday Night Football program "Football Night In America", which airs extended clips of the afternoon's NFL games. This would go beyond scoring highlights of, say, the Seattle-Oakland game as seen in Miami.

And at the collegiate level, some channels and/or teams re-air full games, while other channels/teams (including my alma mater) airs a one-hour, cut-down version.
