The lawsuit was filed in southern California and it relates to TWC paying
$8 billion for Dodgers' games and $3 billion for Lakers' games. The thing
is, it's not only TWC customers suing. TWC plans to sell their new sports
channels to other providers so there are plaintiffs from Charter, DirecTV,
and Verizon as well as their cable rates will go up.

As the Consumerist notes, this lawsuit isn’t just second-guessing Time
Warner’s decision to acquire the rights: it questions the entire cable
television business model.
