I don't think we care too much if some southern cook uses the word nigger. But if an apparently prominent television performer is guilty of creating a racially hostile work environment, then she should be held accountable in civil court, and probably should not continue to benefit from her television exposure. And we should notice whether or not television programs that benefit from her appearances but also purport to be news organizations report the news fairly and aggressively, or help her cover it up. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
