I don't disagree with any of that, just as I believe it is illegal for anyone in Hollywood to take non-prescription drugs such as cocaine, heroin, etc. I also believe that workplace laws require there to be no sexual harassment. And people shouldn't sleep their way to the top.
Sorry to sound trite, but there is a definition of things, and there is the way things are. And in the entertainment industry those two things rarely intersect. And everybody who goes into the business knows this well in advance. Books, movies, and TV shows are centered around the inner workings of studios and production companies. Regardless of any legal definition, the interns knew what they were getting into, and for them to whine and sue ex-post-facto makes them look impish, and it guarantees they will never work in the industry.
