Good enough that he got a two-year renewal from NBCU--generally better than anyone expected--and it goes along with "Family Feud" entering the Top 10 syndicated show ratings for the first time in the history of this incarnation of the show (yes, I'm counting Louie Anderson, Richard Karn and John O'Hurley together). In comparison, "Katie"'s renewed, but she hasn't been getting the killer ratings expected and she's supposedly embroiled in fights with the showrunner who replaced Dougie Zucker, who supposedly wants the show to be more gossipy while Couric wants it to be more newsy. At least she didn't get someone who wants it to go the Springer/Maury route (although I suspect Disney would not allow that).
