I would have to ask the Carson estate why they'd feel the need to cut the full segments on TCM and the digital sales. The entire Letterman/Wopner episode is a classic (I have it on VHS). Looking at the running time on the iTunes store, more than 1/3 of it is missing (probably closer to 1/2 of it, actually). That is way more than music cues and credits. The "trial" itself was over 10 minutes, plus the 6 or 7 minutes with Letterman before the trial. No way the monologue and desk segments totaled 8 minutes. -- Kevin M. (RPCV) -- -- TV or Not TV ....
