Last night's season premiere of the A&E reality series about the filthy
rich redneck duck call makers in Louisiana pulled almost 12M viewers, a
record for a cable non-fiction series (although some may argue with that)
and pulling more viewers than the top-rated network show of the evening,
"America's Got Talent" on NBC:

If this can keep going all season, "Duck Dynasty" will now join "The
Walking Dead" in the rarified air of cable series that have more viewers
than the top-rated network series--of course, we do have the fall season
coming in another few weeks or so.
