Lost interest in the show after 3-4 episodes and, as the ratings go, I'm not alone (lost half its demo audience between Monday and Friday last week). The show has been bereft with problems -- online viewing that took 3-4 days to actually launch correctly, a Monday TV premiere that baffled many (no real explanation of the rules, how the show works, etc.), questions on casting contestants (*), TV and online games that differ in terms of rules (online games have no doublers, and all questions are one point apiece). NBC needed a few more weeks or months to prepare for air. And I agree that there should be a greater TV presence through the Kabletown universe for this show. If Style Network is going the way of the dodo bird, why not put a few hours of games on that channel. Or G4, which is essentially a "zombie channel" to begin with? Or even digital subchannels on NBC affiliates that show, say, weather loops 24/7? (*) I auditioned for the show back in July via Skype with a Los Angeles casting producer (I live in Georgia). At the time, I was told that the show was "looking at casting people from around the country." However, a majority of the casting has been based around the NYC area, with only the "Line Jumpers" being flown in to play the game. They did contestant calls in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Chicago, but early word is that few, if any, "locals" were called to play (one of the "Winners Row" residents did audition in Las Vegas, but lives in NYC). For the record -- for personal and financial reasons, if I were selected to play, I would have only went if I had my travel comped by the show. (**) Ken Jennings may have said "no" to MSQ, but Ed Toutant, who won $1.88 million on WWTBAM, was in the "Money Chair" overnight Sunday/Monday, making it to $111,000 before bowing out. JD
