Fox has put in an eight-episode order for "Slide Show," a sort of "Whose
Line?" knockoff with celebrity and civilian contestants playing on a titled
set--Steve Carell is involved as a producer on the show, but the format was
created in France (as "Anything Goes") by Arthur Essenig, the guy whose
cable talk show borrowed (or stole) some elements from Craig Ferguson's
"Late Late Show," although original distaste was tempered by Essenig's
insistence that it was an homage to SCG:

The format rights to the show are controlled by 21st Century Fox division
Shine, run by Rupert's daughter Elisabeth Murdoch (and the co-producer of
"The Office US," coincidentally).
