In what is claimed to the biggest deal made for the off-OTA network rights for a series, FXX has purchased the rights to 530+ episodes of "The Simpsons" (the first 24 seasons plus Season 25 once Season 26 starts on Fox) as OFF finally comes to cable after over 15 years in OTA syndication--they claim that there was an intense bidding war for the show, even if they share a corporate parent with the producers and original network:
