My preferred TV guide is The Guide that comes as supplement in Saturday's Guardian. The recommendations appear online as well in a daily page.

But they also have a decent free weekly newsletter. A bit more populist, but worth looking at. http://accounts.digiguide.tv/subscribe.asp Digital Spy also has a what's on tonight page: Eg. http://m.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/a534501/what-to-watch-tonights-tv-picks-fresh-meat-true-blood.html I'm not sure what the Radio Times website is up to. It does seem like they're pushing a paid for app though.
