can tell, he hasn't been terribly hands-on with his TV projects since very
early seasons of Lost.

By my count, JJ has had an executive producer credit on 8 programs picked
up on broadcast television since Lost (not counting Believe).

   - Three of those were cancelled in their first season (Six Degrees,
   Undercovers and Alcatraz)
   - Four were renewed for a second season or more (What About Brian,
Fringe, Person of Interest and Revolution)
   - One is currently in its first season, and is rated a "toss up" for
   renewal by TVBTN (Almost Human).
   - Fringe got 5 seasons, and in my judgement was creatively good to very
good. I have never seen Person of Interest, but it is rated as certain to
be renewed by TVBTN, and is a good bet to get to at least 5 seasons. I
thought Revolution was vastly overrated last season, when it got good
ratings, and is even worse this year, when it is getting mediocre ratings.
As I noted earlier, I kind of like Almost Human, though it has a long list
of haters among Science Fiction fans.

I suppose stellar should mean something like very good or great, and it
certainly is true that none of the JJ shows have been as stellar either in
terms of ratings or quality as Lost was (though, to be fair, relatively few
shows have been as stellar as Lost was since Lost). OTOH, I think you could
argue that a record of getting at least 50% of 8 shows renewed at least
once is better than the base rate for network programs, and more than
justifies the decision by networks to keep giving his shows a shot.
