Some of the hate-watching blog recappers of "DWTS" have loved to take shots at Wheeler and his band's interpretations of recent vintage pop songs. Part of the problem that Wheeler has always had is that the couples are given 90-second versions of the original recording to rehearse to, meaning that the singers are forced to imitate the original vocal instead of providing whatever personality they might have and that the only thing Wheeler and his arrangers can do is add what he called the "DWTS" trademark horn sounds to the chart.
Meanwhile, someone has commented that Ricky Minor will be out of a job on Monday--I thought I had heard he was coming back to "Idol."
