It's a valid point, but I'm not sure it's all about her. The niche in question is pretty much her and Andy Cohen, right? Or if we look at Chelsea Lately as a panel show, is it her and Chris Hardwick?
Could the marginalization be based as much on the gender of the target audience as on the gender of the host? Both Bravo and E! seem to skew female and tabloid. Is there still a lingering network bias (Comedy Central being its own niche)? Pete Holmes is back on with new episodes the same night Seth takes over at 12:30. I've seen little mention of it outside of TBS promos.
