The smell of desperation in the LA offices of BBC Worldwide America as Brooke Burke-Charvet is out as Tom Bergeron's sidekick after seven gorounds on "Dancing With the Stars" (and a winner of the mirror ball trophy in cycle 7)--even though Burke-Charvet's performance in the role left some of us nostalgic for the days of Samantha Harris, her firing, along with the dumping of Harold Wheeler's band and singers, indicates that they are grasping for straws in trying get the show's young demos up:
