Well, (according to IMDB) he's currently filming a movie, has another one in post-production that's due out this year, and has two future projects currently in pre-production, one of which will hit the theaters in 2015. Add those to your previously-mentioned SVU guest spot, I'd say he's doing a very poor job of "quitting the biz," now or in the forseeable future.
My opinion hasn't changed, in that I believe his article (press release? op-ed?) that started this whole thread is his announcement that he's going to be less visible in the public, not that he's "quitting" (or even moderately slowing down, it seems) "the biz." You couldn't swing a dead cat in Hollywood without hitting a starving actor who'd kill for that kind of schedule while they're still *in* the biz.
