The reason Netflix and Amazon are making waves (and money) is because they
aren't networks and don't resemble networks in any way. What is happening
online is an entirely different method of content distribution. Is the
article geared toward Luddites too behind-the-times to grasp new media
strategies, or is the author of the piece too behind-the-times that he can
only reference things using archaic concepts? It must be tough for him to
review new series and programs, what with the DVD screeners not playing in
his Betamax machine. Can't wait for his next article, "Talkies: Just a
passing fad."
