I believe the expanded playoffs have to still be negotiated with the NFLPA (but I'm not willing to pawn grandma's china on that), so while Roger "I care about the integrity of this league as long as it doesn't involve the players or inhibit our ability to make even more money" Goodell wants to expand the bracket, I wouldn't describe it as written in stone.
