That's "Surviving Jack," not "Regarding Jack."

I tuned into the pilot out of curiosity - my name is Dunleavy, and the
show's family is named Dunlevy, so I wanted to see if they did the family
name (or a derivation of it) proud. As it turned out, I didn't even make it
to the first commercial break. The eighties pop music playing constantly in
the background of every scene really annoyed me, even though they were good
songs. It seemed like they were doing it to prove the show took place in
the eighties, but the music had no relation to the dialogue, and it was
played even during scenes between the adults, who would never have listened
to that music in those days. (My dad was *not* listening to Talking Heads
in those days. Or these days, for that matter.)

Even though there was some clever dialogue, and Chris Meloni was good, I
just couldn't get past all the other stuff. It wasn't terrible or tasteless
like "Dads," but its cancellation is no big loss.
