The NFL does try to schedule games on the last Sunday to eliminate the advantage of one team knowing another's result, but time zone issues and TV preferences sometimes prevent it.
There's no way the league would reduce the number of windows for games that day from three to one. They care a lot more about the TV revenue than any perceived advantage. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
