Lee Chamberlain was seen first-run in the early years of the 70s PBS kids
show (and even after she was replaced by Hattie Winston, per long-standing
CTW/Sesame Workshop policy was still seen in repeat sketches all the way
through the end of the original series), notably as the gregarious diner
proprietress Vi--her acting career continued steadily after she left,
including a recurring role on "All My Children," appearances in New York
Public Theater's Central Park summer Shakespeare and a workshop for
African-American playwrights:

In the link, Ms. Chamberlain's son believes that the embedded clip of a
musical number was choreographed by her and Morgan Freeman through improv,
although I have the feeling that choreographer Pat Birch would beg to
differ.

All for the rest of the original cast, Jim "J. Arthur Crank" Boyd died in
2013. Luis Avalos, who came in during season 2, died this past January.
Short Circus member from seasons 2 through 4 Gregg Burge died in 1998 at
the age of 40 and some of the other Short Circus kids seemed to have
slipped through the cracks (June Angela, the only Short Circus member to
last the entire series, has had a steady stage and voice-over career since
"The Electric Company").
