While the presence of Depp and Morgan likely prompted the most "Why is he 
here?" comments, Morgan was better than I expected him to be at that event.

Yeah, it was underwhelming, given that the best material not performed by 
Rickles was from De Niro and Scorsese.  Spike doing this seemed way outside its 
demo, and too few of Rickles' contemporaries were there in person.  I'd be more 
down on this if Letterman hadn't shown up.

Off topic, but did anybody see Morgan on the Spike TV sort-of roast of Don 
Rickles a week or two ago? And did anybody else think, given the bulk of talent 
called in to honor the hockey puck, the show itself was underwhelming, 
including Morgan's segment?
