Not TV related per se, but an important part of the event: There is a serious push by many in the con community to seriously tighten up harassment policies and be more aggressive in investigating accusations of harassment. John Scalzi (a Hugo-winning author) took a pretty hard stance on what he now expects from cons, and SDCC doesn't meet those standards. So Scalzi, who wound up having to go after his publisher did the legwork, wound up moving all his events offsite.
