SI's Richard Deitsch who has never been shy about voicing his hate towards
ESPN for unleashing First Take upon the nation said it brilliantly

"For those who want my take on the First Take apology: I'd give the
Teleprompter read a B- and the lighting an A."

Also for some weird stupid reason ESPN has blocked Awful Announcing from
playing the apology video on their website according to this tweet.

I'm really in shock at how tone-deaf Bristol was in this response by having
SAS give a taped non-apology apology followed by the host discussing it
briefly and then going into the show discussing what number LeBron James
should wear as a Cleveland Cavalier. As opposed to a more important story
like should Cleveland trade for Kevin Love for example. What's more
shocking and unbelievable about the whole thing is I remember in 2003 when
Rush Limbaugh was booted off of "Sunday NFL Countdown" for his idiotic
comments on Donovan McNabb everyone on the show from Berman to Tom Jackson
to Ditka all spoke and addressed the subject for about 15-20 minutes. It
was maybe one of the best pieces of sports television that I can remember
because everyone spoke intelligently and thoughtfully about the week's
events and about a serious subject of race in sports. I guess intelligent
and thoughtful discussion is a foreign concept to the producers of "First
Take".
