Conan was heartfelt, but mostly inarticulate (granted he was pretty much responding in real time). Nobody else working has the gravitas, intelligence and cultural heft that Dave does to kind of put into words the collective reaction to something like this, and like many I really did miss him last night, and absurdly hoped that he would somehow just do a 10-minute desk segment for us at the start of his rerun last night. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
