I think I remember seeing it a couple times, when it was something like a short-notice presidential speech or a big enough story that they were going to have to update for the west coast anyway. More common here in central time is the modern equivalent of "Franco is still dead"--a special report that interrupts the 7 AM hour of a morning show, then gets repeated an hour later on the tape-delayed 8 AM hour. -- David J.
