One of my biggest parental regrets was assuming that "Radio Disney" was a
safe port for my young daughters in their preteen years, which was the late
90s early 00s. I don't know what it was like before then (I kind of
imagined it would be a lot of "Whistle While We Work" and "When You Dream
Upon A Star") but this was just as Spears and *NSYNC were breaking, and
suddenly I found I had immersed my little girls in the deep end of shallow
pop culture (if that could possible make sense).

If future parents will now be spared that mistake, the death of AM radio is
not too high a price to pay...
