But I don't think Couric is the new model, because that failed so miserably. The question becomes *is* there a new model that could fit into the current structure. I *really* liked "The News With Brian Williams" way back when, but obviously no network will get 60 minutes unless they concede the first or last hour of prime time and give the affiliates back that dinner-time half hour (and I'd add the stench that was Jay Leno, even though it had absolutely nothing to do with news, would likely prevent even the most adventurous network from trying it).
