PBS has acquired "Our Cameras, Our Stories," a series of short documentaries made by New York City teenagers, and will offer them to its stations starting Oct. 4--it comes from NYC's Downtown Community Television Center, the pioneering alt-doc production house in the lower Manhattan former firehouse (made noticeable during the years that Amy Goodman's "Democracy Now!" originated from DCTC after Goodman's angry breakup with Pacifica until "DN!" moved into their own Chelsea facility--the television version of the show obviously started after the move to DCTC):
