I recall Conan's set got tweaked early into his Late Night run. Not six months, but I want to say within a year. And Leno's set evolved constantly, due to him starting across the hall from Johnny's studio, then moving into Johnny's studio, then moving back across the hall a couple years later. -- Kevin M.
