I'm guessing that ship has sailed.

I wish the NFL would give up on the Thursday night game.  The games in 
CBS's package are not destination viewing for anyone who's team isn't 
involved, and the package concludes so early in the season that none of the 
games carry any kind of playoff ramifications.  And as far as NFL Network 
goes - I don't even know where it is on my channel lineup, and I suspect 
that's going to be the case for all but the most die-hard football fan. 
 (The same could be said for MLB Net, but I'm trying to stay on topic 
here.)  The ratings are terrible, the players hate it because it often 
means playing on very little rest, I can't imagine they're filling the 
stadiums on Thursday nights...who does it actually benefit?
