They have done specials with just two of the three presenters (such as the Road
Trip special that BBCA will air tonight in place of a cancelled episode). I
have no idea how they compare ratings-wise with episodes with all three.

I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been any apparent talk of producing
episodes with just Hammond and May presenting. They would presumably have to go
without the segments that were already filmed with Clarkson present, but it
seems like that would be better than the sense that everyone on the show is
being punished for one person's misdeeds.
