Per the Canadian FCC, via Auntie Ceeb:
Starting next March, skinny basic would include local, must-carry (e.g.,
CPAC), and educational channels with an option for the American nets, and
would be capped at C$25/month. Then, in December, customers would be allowed
to choose their own channels or individualized bundles ("pick-and-pay").
 
And, paraphrasing a line from the article: if you like your cable package,
you can keep it.
