Schedule from the Wrap:

MONDAY
8-10 P.M. — “The Voice”
10-11 P.M. — “BLINDSPOT”--Greg Berlanti wins the post-"Voice" time slot
lottery with a serialized number about a tattooed woman only known as "Jane
Doe" with a lot of clues to an international plot on her body.

TUESDAY
8-9 P.M. — “The Voice”
9-10. PM. — “HEARTBREAKER”--Melissa George plays a world-renowned heart
transplant surgeon with a colorful private life. D.L. Hughley and Jamie
Kennedy (!) are also in the cast.
10-11 P.M. — “BEST TIME EVER WITH NEIL PATRICK HARRIS” (through
November)--NPH fronts a live variety show that's an Americanization of the
UK's "Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway" (more a "Sabado Gigante"
variety show than a Carol Burnett)--since this kind of format has not
worked in English in the past in this country, Harris is going to have to
be key man in pulling this off and I'm wondering if his much-panned
performance as Oscar host means that he's lost some of his popularity.
Also, does an audience now used to heavy drama at 10 p.m. going to want a
flashy game show at that time?
10-11 P.M. — “Chicago Fire” (premieres in November)

WEDNESDAY
8-9 P.M. — “The Mysteries of Laura”
9-10 P.M. — “Law & Order: SVU”
10-11 P.M. — “Chicago P.D.”
Women Crush Wednesday intact.

THURSDAY
8-9 P.M. — “HEROES REBORN”--Or, Tim Kring better not screw it up this time.
Jack Coleman and Maki Oka return from the original series with a whole new
group of unlikely superheroes.
9-10 P.M. — “The Blacklist”
10-11 P.M. — “THE PLAYER”--Wesley Snipes as a Vegas casino security expert.
Something tells me he won't be keeping track on card counters at the
blackjack tables.

FRIDAY
8-8:30 P.M. — “Undateable”
8:30-9 P.M. — “PEOPLE ARE TALKING”--No, not a new version of the
Westinghouse stations' morning talk show that boasts among its alums Oprah
Winfrey and Tom Bergeron. It's a multi-cam sitcom (although with "How I
Met Your Mother"' Pamela Fryman directing, more likely a so-called
"hybrid") about two wildly outspoken, politically incorrect couples, Mark
Paul "Zack" Gosselar is part of one of the couples.
9-10 P.M. — “Grimm”
10-11 P.M. — “Dateline”
The only night with comedy for the fall--and the fact that they picked two
multi-cams is saying that NBC's definitely not going to be doing sitcoms
with awkward pauses and jiggly-cams any time soon.

SATURDAY
8-10 P.M. — “Dateline Saturday Night Mystery”
10-11 P.M. — “Saturday Night Live” (Classic encores)

SUNDAY
7-8:20 P.M. — “Football Night in America”
8:20-11 P.M. — “Sunday Night Football”

The mid-season backups are:
COMEDY: Empty-nester multi-cam "Crowded," from Suzanne Martin of "Hot in
Cleveland" (which, need I point out, is bombing in syndicated reruns right
now) and with Patrick "Puddy" Warburton, Carrie Preston, Stacy Keach and
Miranda "iCarly" Cosgrove (a Nick star trying to cross over while former
Disney Channel star Brigit Medler's on "Undateable"); Eva Longoria's
already-hyped single-cam behind-the-scenes on a telenovela "Hot &
Bothered;" the presumably single-cam (if it's from people who worked on
"The Office") "Superstore," about the employees of a big box store, with
America Ferrera, Ben Feldman and Mark McKinney; and the one-hour doomsday
dramedy produced in the UK "You, Me and the End of the World," with Rob
Lowe, Jenna Fischer and Megan Mullally.

DRAMA: Dick Wolf's third Chicago procedural "Chicago Med," with S. Epatha
Merkerson back working for him (and I assume Oliver Platt did at least one
"L&O")--get ready for the quadruple crossover with "Fire," "PD" and "SVU;"
former "CSI" showrunner Carol Mendelsohn's legal series about an attorney
whose long-lost friends show up after 25 years; and JLo's cop show "Shades
of Blue" (if "Idol" comes back and she returns, would NBC put it on against
her other show?), in which she plays a sexy detective (what else?), with
Barry Levinson (!) involved in the series.

"EVENTS": Dolly Parton tells the story of her life in the made-for "Coat
of Many Colors," Nicholas Irving's true-life military saga "The Reaper"
made a mini-series by Harvey Weinstein, and the annual live musical is the
NBCU-owned "The Wiz," with Cirque du Soleil and Harvey Firestein (!)
involved. Don't bring me no bad news, NBC.
