I note that everyone's reading the "more than nine hours" thing as more than nine episodes. I wonder if it might in fact mean that some of the episodes run significantly long?
Anyway, I don't really care either way, and can settle back and rewatch the original series in good time for 2016. I'll also dig out my paperback of The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer which is somewhere in the loft...
