Looks like Dave's old time slot will be taken over - at least for the first week and a half - by repeats of "The Mentalist." Not sure if this is just repeats of the current season or not. Yeah, I'm sure this probably costs them nothing, but I really wish they'd just plunked Dick Cavett down in an empty studio for a few months with, oh, Christopher Buckley and the ghost of Gore Vidal.
