[Sorry - forgot to change the subject header earlier] Jon Stewart had a singular opening to his show this evening. It is worth watching the 5 minutes or so if you don't normally watch TDS. He notes he may not have done it this way if he were not so close to the end, or if this kind of thing has not become so common - he actually seemed to have much the same despair that infected President Obama earlier in the the day - except Obama did not get to do two segments with an amazing teenage girl to re-light his faith in human beings.
