I have a distinct childhood memory of a commercial that aired frequently during KCOP 13's Cartoon Carnival. The ad was for a stage production of Fiddler On The Roof that had both Topol and Theodore Bikel in the cast. As I child I didn't think much about the ad except it ran often, at least as often as ads featuring Cal Worthington and his dog Spot. As an adult, I have to wonder why an ad for musical theater was run between Woody Woodpecker and Droopy Dog cartoons.
I suppose I know Bikel best from his appearances on Star Trek Next Generation and Babylon 5. He did have the presence and theatricality of a solid stage performer.
