Interesting writeup. Of course, Dallas is closer to Route 66 than Boston,
where they also did a couple of episodes. Part of the show's appeal,
especially then, was probably that it was shot in those locations instead
of backlots, so that people got to see many American places for the first
time. And the time capsule nature of that footage now is interesting in and
of itself.
