What I've observed so far (through the 9/22 episode):

The band doesn't seem to have a deep repertoire. On one episode they appeared
to play one tune during two different breaks.

The melodica doesn't seem to fill the space, though the keytar isn't much
better. Not having played either, I don't know what the fix should be. But
I'd be surprised if there wasn't a fix.

Getting back to space, I think the group is still set for a space like where
TCR recorded. But the musical acts haven't had the same issue - at least for
me. So I can't quite figure out what needs tweaking.

That said, 8H is still the worst band in late night. Especially with Armisen
behind the drums. Up-tempo Muzak is still Muzak.

My top two are the Basic Cable Band and The Roots, which are also the bands I
this are most integrated into their respective shows. I can't say the same
about Reggie Watts and Karen, as I think Reggie's more integrated into The Late
Late Show than he and Karen are.
