WDAF is owned by Tribune these days. Fox sold their St. Louis affiliate in the same transaction, but otherwise they've had a pretty clear strategy in recent years of focusing on stations with NFC teams in the market or close enough that they're basically the home team (with the sole exception to that being Houston.)
