Sony Classics tried to buy ads for "Truth," the film about the alleged
blackmark on George W. Bush's military record that CBS News reported that
cost Dan Rather his job starring Robert Redford as Rather and Cate
Blanchett as "60 Minutes" producer Mary Mapes, on the Eye network, but CBS
turned them down, with company flack Gil Schwartz saying "It's astounding
how little truth there is in 'Truth'":

However, Blanchett appeared on Colbert (which, of course, is not CBS News)
earlier this month to promote the film. At the time, Colbert himself said
that his job could be in danger by having Blanchett on (jokingly, perhaps).
