While I agree with you, if I ever have to lose a home game, I'd rather lose
one that's played every year than one that's played every eight years.
(Obviously, that's not how Premier League scheduling works, but it's how
the NFL does things.)

Why? If I'm not inclined to buy tickets anyway, having one less game to not
buy tickets for next year won't bother me.
