I think if the local authorities are starting to give the all-clear, I’ll be happy waiting until the regularly scheduled news shows devote their entire coverage to Paris. No need for wall-to-wall interruptions tonight, if they’re just going to beat a dead horse.

While I agree that there should be some form of update on the events in France, with it currently the middle of the night, I'm not sure how much new material there might be to report on. I'd rather they keep it brief than repeat the limited news ad nauseum. I'll acknowledge that now that media is reporting the attackers have all been accounted for, none alive, there may only be modest updates, but Doug's welcome to stand by his earlier line.
