I believe the DC affiliate did break in, unless MSNBC fronts their breaking
news reports with "NBC News Special Report."

stations to break in with Williams filling in for an ailing Lester Holt on a
half-hearted threat emailed to both the LA and NYC schools (NBC link)... the
perp was dismissed by NY top cop Bratton as a possible "fan of the series
Homeland"... O&Os in NY and Philly picked it up, and Fox also broke in on their
affils...
