Immediately after the “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night Live!” scream, 
there was a “Recorded Earlier Tonight” blurb in the bottom center of the 
screen.  So they apparently started at the regular time and delayed playback 
until after the NFL post-game and local news.

My TiVo was padded, because it listed last night’s SNL at 63 minutes 
(12m-1:03a).

 

And also, I assume their faux-GCT clock is a prop, because it showed 11:35ish 
during the introduction and it would have had to be 12:05ish.
