While there are other explanations (namely, that Trump's polling advantage has always been something of a mirage), skipping the debate clearly contributed to his dramatic collapse in Iowa, and he is unlikely to repeat that mistake (unless, as I have sometimes suspected, he does not really want to win this race). -- -- TV or Not TV ....
