It did remind me of one of my favorite days in college. We had a TV station
on campus, and every Friday we did a one-hour news broadcast. On one
Friday, the draconian building manager decided to turn off the air
conditioning. Even in a low-light TV station, this was a bad idea. When the
second $150 light bulb overheated and exploded, we packed up the equipment
and moved it outside. It was a rare sunny day in Washington state; we set
up in the center of the campus, dragged a 500 ft cable to connect to the
building with the router (a building that still had functioning AC) and did
the whole show live. By the end of the newscast, we had amassed an
audience, and the show finished as the sun set beautifully in the distance.

I miss those days. My alma mater's student media has a YouTube channel and
I've poked my nose in to see their current offerings. It makes me sad. So
sad I won't even link to it here. Looking back, we were able to do quite a
bit at our cheesy rinky dink facility. Covered all the football games, home
and away. Two hour-long newscasts every week. Talk shows, game shows,
sports shows, and my humble comedy show. All on no budget. All on
20-year-old equipment (we used Amigas for graphics!). I really do miss
those days.
