It depends on what/how you're watching. In the past, a distinction has been
made here between watching a particular program and "watching TV." In the
former case, you're paying more attention and willing to work a bit harder
to understand what's going on. If you're just flipping to something
acceptable to have on, accents that require an effort to understand may be
a dealbreaker.
