Core Media Group, the parent company of Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment, co-owner of the "Idol" and "So You Think You Can Dance" franchises, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in New York, seemingly due to its chief revenue source, "American Idol," coming to an end this year (not to mention the reduction in broadcast hours and the loss of Coca-Cola and AT&T as sponsors):
